Have a NATURALLY WILD Birthday Party with Wild Compass!

Birthday parties at Wild Compass Environmental Education are fun, unique and easy to plan.

A party at Wild Compass lasts two hours, the first hour includes age and seasonally appropriate activities facilitated by a Wild Compass naturalist. The second hour is time for your group to have food, cake, open presents, play games, etc.

Birthday parties at Wild Compass are appropriate for ages 3-99 (parties for children 5 and under need adequate adult supervision). Party size is limited to 15 guests.

Birthday parties can be held:
Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. or Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
Reservations should be made a minimum of two weeks in advance.

Cost: $90 for Wild Compass members / $110 for non-members

Party Options:
​Wild Exploration - Great for all ages!
You may not see them, but there are wild animals all around us! Go on a nature hike and scout the area for the signs animals leave behind. Optional: create your own plaster track.* 

Snow Stomp - Age 7+
Explore winter on top of the snow with your huge snowshoe feet. Go on a snowshoe hike, look for animal tracks, play games, and see how fast you can run with big feet! (Must have 6” of snow to use snowshoes, but can be done without them.)

Grossology - Age 5+
Super gross things like blood, slime, scat, and maggots, are actually really super cool! Optional: create your own slime to take home.*

Insect Safari - Great for all ages!
Hike and explore the prairie and woods uncovering the smallest critters living there. Find creatures with lots of legs, hundreds of eyes, and long, slimy bodies.

Mad Scientist- Great for all ages!
Put on your lab coats and goggles. It’s time for some fun science experiments!*

Geocaching - Age 7+
Did you know there are hidden treasures in the woods? Use a GPS unit and your smarts to follow the scavenger hunt trail to find your prize.

Owl Detectives - Age 5+
Gather your flock and have a hoot celebrating. Learn if an owl can turn its head all the way around and hoo is at risk of being eaten by this nocturnal hunter. Optional: pick apart a real owl pellet and see what animal became owl dinner!*

Nature Art - Great for all ages!
Get crafty using nature as inspiration and maybe even as a paintbrush. Art projects will be nature based, and seasonally and age appropriate.

Party Animal- Great for all ages!
Do turtles actually live in their shells, what do salamanders eat? Ask them yourself! Meet our resident reptiles and amphibians up close and personal.
